This program blends professional company visits with experiential and cultural activities to provide an in‑depth view of South Africa’s dynamic economic environment, complex history, and diverse cultures.

Business and Culture in Tanzania

Business and Culture in Tanzania is an interdisciplinary program for business majors or majors in related academic fields.

Cultural Psychology in Argentina

Through a carefully curated series of guest lectures, site visits to Argentine organizations and institutions, and experiential learning activities, this program will explore key topics in cultural psychology as they relate to and manifest within Argentine society.

The Cultural Psychology Program in Cuba offers a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to travel to a country rarely visited by Americans.

Health in Belize (Maymester)

The Health Program in Belize is intended for UGA students who plan to pursue careers in healthcare and work actively toward that goal.

Health in Belize (Summer)

Due to its popularity, a second iteration of the Health Program has been created. This program is two weeks long and offers students 3-credit hours in BIOL 4940 Internship in Biology (P / F).

The Health in Cuba program offers a once-in-a lifetime opportunity to travel to a country rarely visited by Americans.

Health in South Africa

The Health in South Africa Winter Break Program is intended for UGA students who plan to pursue careers in healthcare and work actively toward that goal.

History and Journalism in South Africa

This program is designed for those with a strong interest in issues of national conflict, racial segregation, social justice, human rights, and democratic development.

Pre-Vet Medicine in Zimbabwe

Students will spend one week at each of the two wildlife research, rehabilitation, and conservation centers: the Costa Rica Rescue Center in Guacima, Alajuela and the Latin American Sea Turtles (LAST) Association on the Osa Peninsula.

Rwanda: Reconciliation and Reconstruction

Rwanda: Reconciliation and Reconstruction is an interdisciplinary study abroad program with a focus on history and journalism; undergraduate students from all academic fields, who have a strong interest in exploring themes of international conflict, national and ethnic conflict, reconciliation, nation rebuilding, and societal advancement are welcome to apply.

Spanish & Cultural Immersion in Costa Rica

This program is ideal for any UGA student who wants to meet the foreign language and Core IV requirements while immersed in the host culture. Students enroll in both courses and complete six credit hours over the six-week program. UGA instructors teach our courses following the guidelines established by the Department of Romance Languages at UGA.
