Dr. Yana A. Cornish is Director of Global Education at the University of Georgia’s Office of Global Engagement, a role she has held since 2014. She focuses on expanding career-focused study abroad offerings, securing scholarship support, and increasing student participation in global experiential learning. Her career spans more than 20 years as an international education administrator in public higher education, with a commitment to supporting study abroad and international students as they navigate education across borders. A former exchange student herself, she brings firsthand perspective to the programs she leads. Dr. Cornish holds two master’s degrees and a doctorate in Education (Curriculum and Instruction) from the University of Northern Iowa.
