James McClung

Dr. James E. McClung, Senior Academic Professional, has directed the UGA at Oxford Program since 2012, after first serving as Associate Director beginning in 2007. Splitting his time between the US and the UK, he manages the team that operates the UGA at Oxford International Center, which runs more than 10 programs serving over 300 undergraduate participants each academic year in partnership with Keble College and Trinity College, Oxford. A Georgia native, Dr. McClung specializes in Modernist and Twenty-First Century British Literature, Postcolonial Literature, and the 20th Century Novel, and continues to teach courses at UGA. He holds master’s and doctoral degrees in English Literature from the University of Georgia.
