Richard Reiff Award

Given annually, the Richard Reiff Award for Campus Internationalization recognizes full-time faculty members who have made exceptional contributions to global education at the University of Georgia. Innovative program design and success in instruction are fundamental criteria for this award. Therefore, nominees should either demonstrate achievements in advancing global educational opportunities for UGA students through curricular development and in teaching abroad or how comparable efforts were successful in enriching the experience of international students on the University of Georgia campus. Both tenure stream and non-tenure stream faculty are eligible for nomination. Awardees will be recognized during Honors Week. The award carries a prize of $1,500.

Nomination Process

Nominations should originate with, and be submitted by, unit heads/directors. Please submit all materials as a single pdf in the form submission box found on this page. The nomination package should include:

  1. Nomination Letter

    A nomination letter by the department head/unit director highlighting the faculty member’s exceptional contributions to global education.

  2. Statement

    A 1-2 page statement (500-750 words) by the nominee providing specific examples of program development, curricular design, student engagement and success in instruction.

  3. Supplementary Materials

    Evidence of impact on student success (up to 3 pages).

  4. Curriculum Vitae

    A copy of the nominee’s curriculum vitae.
