UGA-Korea Faculty Mobility Program
Call for Proposals
Deadline: Friday, November 14, 2025
The UGA-Korea faculty mobility support program is open to full-time faculty from any discipline at the University of Georgia who are seeking to collaborate with colleagues at higher education institutions in the Republic of Korea. This program is centered around the bilateral exchange of faculty. It is intended to facilitate new, self-sustaining academic partnerships in research, teaching, or service with scholars abroad, with reciprocal faculty exchange and active engagement at the partner institution being the principal goals of the program.
Proposals should demonstrate a clear commitment to reciprocal visits to UGA by the international partner prior to the close of calendar year 2026 and identify a targeted source of future extramural funding or other concrete initiatives geared toward longer-term collaboration. Proposals that seek to deepen relationships with partner institutions generating significant academic output, academic program development, and/or future extramural funding are especially welcome.
There is no requirement that the university or research institution visited is an existing UGA partner; however, proposals will be favorably considered that deepen relationships with Korean institutions with which UGA has a successful record of collaboration and with which UGA faculty will have the greatest likelihood of generating significant academic output, academic programming, and future extramural funding.
Existing UGA-Korean partnerships include:
- Chung-Ang University
- Dankook University
- Ewha Womans University
- Inha University
- Korea Institute for Health and Social Affairs
- Korea University
- POSTECH University
- Seoul National University
- Sogang University
- Sunchon National University
- Sungkyunkwan University
- Yonsei University
