Faculty Engagement

Incorporate the SDGs into your Curriculum
The 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) are a part of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development adopted by all UN members in 2015.
We encourage all faculty to incorporate the UN SDGs into their courses abroad. The toolkit below is a faculty guide to using the SDGs as a pedagogical framework created by York University.

Attend a Workshop
OGE partners with the Office of Sustainability to offer a Study Abroad Curriculum workshop, offering a framework for how sustainability can be incorporated into your program.

Propose a Sustainability focused program
Each year, OGE invites proposals from faculty interested in developing and leading new study abroad programs for UGA undergraduate students. These programs are normally 2 to 4 weeks long, occur in the Maymester and Summer sessions, and offer 3 to 6 credits.
Study Abroad Development Grants
Successfully approved study abroad program proposals may be considered for Study Abroad Program Development Grant funding for the purpose of conducting a preparatory site visit.
