About Immigration Services

Mission Statement

Immigration Services (IS) at the University of Georgia (UGA) provides centralized immigration and visa-sponsorship information to international students, scholars, faculty and staff, and to UGA colleges and schools.

Through comprehensive assistance and collaboration with other UGA offices, Immigration Services contributes to the development and maintenance of a dynamic and intercultural learning environment; supports growing world-wide research endeavors; and assists all students and the University with greater opportunities for success in the global economy. We directly support UGA’s educational, research and internationalization goals for the 21st century.

Commitment to Service

Immigration Services advisors are highly trained professionals who provide a welcoming and informed setting for internationals at UGA. We serve as critical liaisons between internationals sponsored by UGA and a highly complex regulatory bureaucracy.
