For today’s Student/Scholar Spotlight, we congratulate Mariam El Amin on her achievements. Mariam is a PhD student in the Mary Frances Early College of Education studying Communication Sciences and Disorders.
She was the instructor of record for the CMSD 3120 Language Development course last fall, and this semester she was awarded the Outstanding Teaching Assistant Award by The Office of Instruction and Center for Teaching and Learning. In addition to her PhD program, she is currently enrolled in the Graduate Certificate in Dyslexia program. She used the knowledge she had gained through this program to deliver a training session to 250 attendees from 3 countries at the Turkish Academy Dilgem.
When asked about her experience at UGA, Mariam stated, “UGA is a wonderful environment for me to gain various opportunities that prepare me to be a future academic and researcher.”
