Virtual Study Away Sneak Peek
Athens, Ga. –Every year, the Office of Global Engagement hosts a Study Away Open House for students and their parents to learn more about the Study Away programs offered at the University of Georgia. Normally, Program Directors, along with Global Education Advisors, would be on hand for face to face meetings with prospective participants, sharing the details of their particular programs.
This year, due to Covid-19, the Global Education unit is hosting a virtual event entitled Virtual Study Away Sneak Peek which takes place on August 28th from 11-3pm via Zoom. During the event, you will be able to interact with program staff and Global Education Advisors as you learn more about Education Abroad and Domestic Field Study programs.
Yana Cornish, Director of Global Education, is optimistic about the virtual event: “In spite of challenges presented by COVID-19, OGE is committed to organizing campus-wide events to showcase an extensive portfolio of unique study away opportunities UGA has to offer. It is my hope that students and their families will find the Sneak Peek and the Fall Study Away Fair, both being conducted in a virtual format, to be accessible, useful, and informative.”
The event is open to students and their families. While participation is free, registration is required. To register, click on the link below:
The Global Education unit will send you the link to the website after registration.
